Technique, repertory and performance skills
Three one-week sessions, July 14-18, July 21-25, and July 28-August 1, 2008

Fee: $360 per week

This intensive workshop is designed for intermediate and advanced level dancers interested in developing their skills as performers and expanding their training through immersion in daily technique and repertory. Each day will consist of a 2-hour modern technique class followed by a 3-hour repertory session. Participants will learn segments of Janice Garrett’s repertory with an eye toward refining dynamics, phrasing, musicality, spatial sensitivity, rhythmic awareness, and focus. Garrett and her company members will teach repertory that encompasses a spectrum of qualities and dynamics and that includes solo and group forms.
